Frequently Asked Questions
Esquentador or termoacumulador — which is better?
A gas esquentador heats water as it flows and never runs out, but needs gas and ventilation. An electric termoacumulador needs neither, but once the tank is empty you wait for it to heat again. For most flats, replacing like for like is simplest.
My esquentador has a yellow flame. Is that dangerous?
It can be: a badly burning gas heater produces carbon monoxide. Switch it off, open the windows and call us before using it again.
How long does a replacement take?
A like-for-like replacement normally takes a few hours, with hot water the same day. Changing type or position takes longer.
